OUR GOALS:
Our goal is to purchase and protect 5,000 more acres of Arhuaco ancestral territory in five years.
Forest cover on Arhuaco ancestral land expanded by 63% in twelve years, according to satellite images comparing land management in 2010 to 2022. Geologist, Tobias Leyva Pinto, from the Universidad Nacional de Colombia, studied 2,800 acres of Arhuaco land purchased around the year 2010 in the community of Seykún.
